Ulysses Balis

Dr. Balis is Chairman of Inspirata’s Strategic Advisory Board and is Professor of Pathology as well as Director of the Division of Pathology Informatics at the University of Michigan’s Department of Pathology. He specializes in improvements in the clinical pathology laboratory, including automation and real-time specimen tracking, whole-slide microscopy and telepathology and digital imaging solutions for surgical pathology. His experience spans numerical analysis and interpretation of digital histological data sets in tandem with expression data and other high-order data, Vector Quantization tools and Gallois Fields, and design of support vector engines for automated region-of-interest based image repository query. https://www.pathology.med.umich.edu/faculty/ulysses
